By Natalie Vincent

Lambeth held its fifth heritage festival throughout September, celebrating the history and diverse culture of the borough.

Kicking off on 2 September, a large and varied series of events were held across Lambeth including local walks, lectures and visits to local landmarks such as the Brixton Windmill, West Norwood Cemetery and Lambeth Palace Library.

The month-long festival ended on 1 October with a talk at The Chocolate Factory about the origins of one of Britain's favourite warm drinks, hot chocolate, and its historical links between Africa, Britain and the West Indies.
