New shared ownership apartments are available at a development in the heart of Brixton, offering special benefits to potential home-owners.
Housing association Metropolitan Thames Valley is offering the homes under its SO Resi banner, with 20 out of its original 81 shared ownership apartments available.
The one, two and three-bedroom properties have a private balcony or terrace, and are close to Brixton tube station that offers quick transport links through the Victoria line.
SO Resi is offering purchasers two years’ free car club membership with Zipcar and a £30 driving credit with the apartments.
Prices start from £127,500 for a 25 per cent share of a two-bedroom apartment and a 10% deposit is required.
Metropolitan Thames Valley, through SO Resi, will also be selling the first phase of 60 shared ownership apartments at its major regeneration development at Clapham Park.
The scheme has already created 500 and refurbished 700 homes, and is planning to have 2500 new homes of which a significant amount will be affordable.
Homes are still available in the current phase of The Maple, which had 164 one, two and three-bedroom apartments for sale with prices starting from £425,000 for a one-bedroom home.
The development will feature a new school, nursery, retail and community facilities as well as a network of green avenues linking parks, play areas and gardens.
The Clapham Park project is focusing on sustainability with solar panels to light communal areas, and residents will also benefit from improved walking and cycle routes.
